Juniper Privacy Policy

Juniper is a salon booking app operated by Step Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes what information the app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what the app needs to run your bookings, we never sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising or tracking of any kind.

Account details. When you create an account we collect your name and email address.

Booking details. When you book an appointment we store the service, staff member, time, and deposit amount, along with your booking history.

Payment information. Deposits are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers — we receive only a payment confirmation and the last four digits of the card. If you use the card-scanning feature, camera images are processed on your device by Stripe and are not stored by us or transmitted to our servers.

That's the complete list. The app does not collect your location, contacts, photos, browsing activity, or advertising identifiers.

Solely to operate the app:

• managing your account and signing you in;
• holding, applying, and refunding booking deposits;
• showing you your upcoming and past appointments;
• sending appointment reminders, which are scheduled and delivered locally on your device;
• letting the salon see its schedule, including your name next to your booking.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, use it for marketing you didn't ask for, or track you across other apps and websites.

Account and booking data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Both process data on our behalf to run the app and are bound by their own security and privacy commitments. No other third parties receive your information, except where the law requires disclosure.

Your account and booking history are kept for as long as your account exists, so your appointments and visit history stay available to you and the salon. If you delete your account, your personal details and bookings are removed from our systems; records that must be retained for financial reasons (such as Stripe's record of a processed payment) are kept by Stripe under its own policies.

You can request access to your data, correction of it, or deletion of your account and everything tied to it at any time by emailing pranav@steptechnologies.co. Deletion removes your account, bookings, and personal details from our systems. Appointment reminders are controlled by your device's notification settings and can be turned off there at any time.

Juniper is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian books on a child's behalf for services like kids' cuts. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date. Material changes to how we handle data you've already given us will be communicated in the app where practical.
